Schrober's test - less than 10 cm (lumbar)
Chest expansion - (thoracic spine)

extra-skeletal manisfestations:

• iritis
• aortitis
• pulmonary fibrosis

Ix:

Xray:

• alignment:
• loss of lumbar lordosis
• thoracic kyphsis
• compensatory cervical extension
• bamboo spine
• sacroiliac involvment
• syndesmophytes

Blood:

• HLA B12
• ESR

Mx:

• symptomatic
• analgesics
• physiotherapy
• occupational therapy
• Surgical
•  arthoplasty/arthodesis
• osteotomy
• mx of complications (path fractures)
• Pharmcological
• immunotherapy
