- nodular - smooth, may bleed and ulcerate
- lentigo maligna - Hutchinson's lentigo (premalignant condition)
- acral lentiginous - subungal melanoma
- Clark - anatomical layer
- Breslow - quantative depth
- breslow thickness
- LN
- metastasis
Always excisional biopsy > incisional biopsy.
incisional bx may miss malignant foci, and may miss edge
